Pakej : BRITISH ADMINISTRATION
Sinopsis Video
Around the 1840, Perak was well-known for its rich tin mines. Local Malay lords at that time were actively involved in tin mining, and most Malays worked at the tin mines. There was a need to get skilled miners to increase production and also profit. In 1848, Long Jaafar, the Orang Besar Larut brought in a large group of Chinese workers and opened a new tin mine in Kalian Pauh.Chinese miners were attracted by the abundance of tin in Larut. They flocked to the area and lived in groups, forming triads. Misunderstandings among the groups led to fighting and chaos in the area, which gave the British the opportunity they needed to interfere in the Malay States.
