Hentian Puduraya is one stop center for commuters who require public transport particularly the bus service Situated in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur, Hentian Puduraya is used by Express busses that service the whole of Peninsula Malaysia including the neighboring countries such as Thailand and Singapore. It was so named due to its location in Jalan Pudu. The actual location of Hentian Puduraya is at the T-Junction of 3 roads that is Jalan Pudu, Jalan Mountbatten and Jalan Foch. Its construction began in March 1973 and was completed in March 1977. It was officiated by then current Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Hussein Onn, on 2 October 1976 at 4.30 pm.Today, Hentian Puduraya has gone through changes that is in line with the modernization of the country and it still remain the pulse of the city centre. 296 close circuit televisions have been installed in strategic locations to ensure the safety of the commuters. The waiting area of the terminal is also made larger and comfortable as it is equipped with an automatic air conditioning system. Hentian Puduraya changed its name to Pudu Sentral on 27 August 2011, the Prime Minister , YAB Dato' Sri Mohammad Najib Tun Abdul Razak , once again announced that Pudu Sentral be renamed as Urban Transformation Centre, Kuala Lumpur or UTCKL on 22 September 2012.
